Rebecca Burrill, Ed. D., is a dancer, and movement-based child developmentalist and educator. She traces the evolution of human intelligence back to primal people’s relationship with Nature, a relationship that was instrumental in the development of human language, creativity, and art making. She is certified to teach elementary and provide professional development in Massachusetts, USA. She has published many articles concerning movement as primary in human development, learning, art making, and ecological consciousness. She is founder and director of Horsechestnut Winds: Arts and Learning thru Movement—an educational organization dedicated to advocating for the expression and cultivation of natural learning founded in evolutionary and developmental processes; and providing programing such as Arts with Literacy Integration™, and Languages of Nature Languages of Arts™.
