MIGRATION: I loved being a high school biology and math teacher. Then my young son innocently pointed out that if I live as long as great-grandma, my life is nearly half over. After praising his math skills, I began thinking of myself as a half-lifer. So, with new urgency, I went back to school for my other passion—art. Rare Bird Design was born in 2005 and makes me happy as a lark.
