À propos
I became interested in missions, particulary eye health care missions in 2000. I have read the lives of many missionaries over the years and realize that "only one life soon will be past, only what is done for Jesus will last." I consider my work as a nurse missionary work here in the states, at the bedsides of the elderly, the sick and dying. In my community I see the need to reach out to the poor and blind right down the street from where I live; at the local nursing home in my town. I
After serving at a small outreach center for inner city kids, I was invited to go to Honduras to help with eye health care with a doctor I worked with. I had purchased a passport in 1994, believing that one day I would use it for missions. Six years passed, and well, I'm on my second passport after 8 trips abroad.
I don't plan on retiring, but working as a missionary until I am no longer able to. In the meanwhile, I will be writing and taking photos, and making books for the joy of it all.
