Eleonore Gauthier was born and raised in Montreal. She lived in Sydney, Australia from 2004 till 2007 where she started practicing analogue and digital photography. She is currently completing a degree in photography at Concordia University in Montreal. In 2009, Eleonore traveled to Gulu, Uganda with the Concordia Volunteer Abroad Program (CVAP) where she became very interested by international development, cross-cultural relations and the ethics of photography. After returning to Montreal, she maintained her involvement with CVAP, became a member of The Mercy Project and produced art work in response to her experience in Gulu.
