Darrien Rice, a graduate of UC Berkeley’s College Admissions and Career Planning Certificate Program 2018 cohort, is passionate about college advising. His B.S. in Human Resource Development (Oakland University, 2003) and subsequent M.A. in Training and Development (Oakland University, 2008 cum laude graduate) led to his impact on students at private and public universities across the country. Rice's versatile work includes large-scale staff trainings and individualized student academic advising. Rice, a first-generation student, has an exceptional ability to connect with students thanks to his involvement in pop culture and fifteen years of direct educational work.
