I've loved books since I was a small boy and my father took me to a bookshop for my birthday, letting me choose whichever I wanted (it was an illustrated copy of Homer's The Odyssey). He also imparted the respect for books that he grew up with in Europe in the 1930s, when they were expensive and seen as both educational resources and entertainment.

The feel of the paper, the excitement of starting a new journey with each new book...I've kept my love of them ever since childhood. That's probably what led me into publishing as a career, as well as my love for precision and beauty, both of which can be exercised when making a book.
