Hi my name is Bernie; I was a professional photographer in the Royal Navy. During that time I was internationally published and an award winner in both videography and stills photography. I have now left and I am out in the big wide world, going it alone.
From my experiences, while in the armed forces, I have developed a great skill of being in the right place at the right time, for anticipating where the next great shot is coming from and for capturing that shot perfectly.
I like my photographs to capture the true story of that decisive moment. I don’t use any fancy effects or trick lighting I just take good quality honest photos. I have a saying “If it could be done in the darkroom, that’s what I will do on a computer.” Some call me a dinosaur but I prefer to be called a photographer.
