À propos
Born in Torino, Italy, in 1989, Piermarco Raimondo grew up far from the tide, yet found himself drawn to the sea. What began as a traveler’s curiosity blossomed into a lifelong obsession with Europe’s coastal sentinels.
For Piermarco, lighthouses are more than just stone and glass; they are unique characters with their own lives, colors, and stories, united by a singular, noble purpose: to guide and protect.
Driven by a background in scouting and a passion for the natural world, he captures the harmony between these "solitary guardians" and the coastal environments they protect. In 2025, he transitioned from a 9 to 5 job to a full-time expedition to document some of Europe’s most iconic and secluded lighthouses.
He lives in Tokyo with Midori, his life and adventure partner. He is also author of other publications "Laundry. A testament to the everyday life" and "Iceland - Earth in the Making" available both in English and Japanese.
