Marcela Villagrán was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She specialized in sculpture at the Prilidiano Pueyrredón National School of Fine Arts. She studied a Bachelor of Visual Arts at the National University of Arts (UNA), where today she works as a university professor and researcher. From an early age she became interested in photography. Her work has been published in art and photography magazines
