JR LEVERONI is an emerging visual artist living in South Florida. He grew up in Upstate New York. He has several graduate degrees, one from Dartmouth College. He has studied abroad at Cambridge and Oxford Universities. He taught at various colleges and now is recently retired; he divides his time between Ft Lauderdale and Upstate New York. His paintings exhibit the energy and joy that he finds in his newfound identity as an artist. JR is self-taught, and continues to learn. Recently (2011), JR decided to try his own hand at drawing and painting. His work has been exhibited in the Fort Lauderdale area. He maintains a studio in Lighthouse Point. He is grateful for the encouragement and guidance he received from professional artists such as Tom Rossetti, Kirk Nicklas, and Peter Meyerhoefer. JR Leveroni is a member of ArtsUnited (Ft. Lauderdale) and Broward Art Guild (Ft. Lauderdale).
