À propos

I am of East Indian heritage and an original inhabitant of Mumbai, India. My family moved to Melbourne, Australia in 1971. We have a rich and diverse food culture. Festivals and family celebrations have a sumptuous array of traditional East Indian food.
I now live in the beautiful Bega Valley in south-east NSW, Australia. My large vegetable garden provides fresh home-grown flowers & produce that I have used in many recipes. When I am not working as a health professional, I spend many hours labouring in my productive garden.
When my mother Patsy recently passed away, I was inspired to revisit the traditional East Indian recipes we enjoyed as children and share them at family dinners with my adult children, nieces and nephews. The book ’Feasts of Eastern Lifetimes’ was born.
I would like the next generation of my family to understand their past and for wider communities to have an appreciation of East Indian culinary and cultural heritage.. Email:intanjaville@hotmail.com
