À propos du livre
What drives a person to run 100 miles?
Award winning photographer Tom Sperduto has set out on a journey to document the faces and places of ultra marathon running.
From the grueling yet beautiful trails of the Massannutten mountains to the splendor of the George Washington National Forest he has waited on lonely trails for lone emerging runners and he has celebrated with them at the finish line.
Pondering the question "What does it feel like to run 100 miles?' He has created a series of portraits that give the viewer a glimpse into the eyes of ultra runners at mile 0 and then again at mile 100 just minutes after crossing the finish line.
