À propos du créateur
Where I'm at as a writer: self-published my first poetry book, "I Am the Sun" in 2021, finishing out my senior year of college as a Psychology-turned-English major, preparing to serve five (or more) years in the military, and committing to keep pinning my memories to paper as the years fly by. I firmly believe two things when it comes to writing: that anyone (with feeling) can write, and that not everyone who can write, will write. In the warm Disney film Ratatouille, chef Gusteau tells Remy, "anyone can cook." In my experience, particularly with poetry, there is nothing to write about if the feeling is not there. During a semester of COVID lockdown, writing poems, many of which would grace the pages of "I Am the Sun," released feelings that were anxious, depressed, lonely, sad, of tainted joy. Sometimes feelings don't want to be pinned down. But they should. I strongly encourage you, fellow writer, to pin those feelings, those precious memories, to paper. It is so worth it.
