À propos du livre
In one of the least populated counties in the east, a wealth of beauty awaits travelers who make the trek through the Allegheny mountains to visit. This Virginia county, nestled between the West Virginia border and the Shenandoah Valley, consists of 416 square miles and fewer than 3,000 residents. Due to its high elevation, the climate is similar to upstate New York. A pristine land of sheep and cattle farms, maple syrup production and jaw-dropping scenery, Highland County is timeless and unhurried, and it awaits all who seek its rural charms.
Contains 31 color photographs shot during peak fall foliage and on a rainy summer day. Also included is information about the county, its history, people and terrain.
