The novel revolves around the encounter between two main characters representing deferent and contradictory worlds. The first is the world of Iraqi and Arab immigrants to the United States, which was diagnosed by a 60-year-old Iraqi who fled Basra to America three years ago in the hope of finding a safe haven. But the events of September 11 and the prevailing discrimination in society, and his failure to find a job led him to leave. The second world is the host society of America represented in Cathy, who also evaded her coarse society, because she was walking in a misguided way. But she meets, Omar, helped her a lot in his last days in America, but he wants to leave. Cathy found herself among two options: Can she convince Omar to stay? depend on it or go in separate ways in the end?
