In March of 2011, artists Nannette Gonzalez and Joe Kredlow returned to the island of Bohol, Philippines, to recapture their memories of a place they had visited 20 years earlier.
What follows is a selection of photographs taken in and around Panglao Island, Bohol, at Alona Beach and other parts of the island, but not by any means typical photography.
Unfortunately, photographs of their earlier visit are nonexistent which might have allowed the reader to experience the drastic changes that has taken place in the 20 years.
At the time of their first visit, there were just a few resorts and now there are hundreds. Development, both good and bad, does happen; hopefully with the right control, the island will be able to preserve some of its beauty for our next visit.Go to my store for more!

They reside in Washington, DC and spend part of the year traveling and taking photographs. Their work includes the design of numerous publications and printed materials for various corporate, academic, and professional clients.
