À propos du livre
Pedestrian crossings organize how people move through shared space, guiding their paths across streets and intersections. The repeated stripes and signals create a clear, graphic framework in which individuals and small groups align, diverge, and briefly intersect before continuing on their way. Crossings observes how people navigate these structured zones, where movement is coordinated yet individual, and where distinct paths unfold within the same shared space.

Clifton, VA, USA
Buzz Pioso is a photographer based in the Washington, D.C. area, working primarily in black and white. He photographs streets and transit environments, drawn to the fleeting arrangements that emerge among people, movement, architecture, and light. Gestures, expressions, glances, and spatial relationships often come together within the frame, revealing subtle connections and tensions in ordinary public moments. His work ranges from crowded, close-range scenes to quieter observations of waiting, movement, and presence.
