À propos du livre
Berlin is best known for its historical associations as the German capital, internationalism and tolerance, lively nightlife, its many cafés, clubs, bars, street art, and numerous museums, palaces, and other sites of historic interest.
The city basks in a cultural renaissance that boasts everything from museums and fashion to food and nightclubs. The city's also known for its art scene and modern landmarks like the gold-coloured, swoop-roofed Berliner Philharmonic Hall, built in 1963.
Berlin is the capital and chief urban centre of Germany. The city lies at the heart of the North German Plain, across an east-west commercial and geographic axis that helped make it the capital of the kingdom of Prussia and then, from 1871, of a unified Germany. Berlin’s former glory ended in 1945, but the city survived the destruction of World War II. It was rebuilt and came to show amazing economic and cultural growth.
The images in this book are in chronological order as we explored the city and surroundings. They portray my personal story in pictures. The book is for all to enjoy.
