À propos

While at Brooklyn College, I enrolled in a photography course after learning my grandfather was an avid photographer. Following his lead, I learned the basics of film photography and grew to love the medium. I appreciated the intimacy of working with film. Developing rolls, printing in the darkroom and seeing a photo etch itself onto paper ultimately rewarded my long hours at work.

My biggest influences are André Kertész and Garry Winogrand. I studied them intensely, along with other 20th century photographers, admiring how they played with light and urban scenes to tell stories. My work is a response to their conversation by combining escapism and the street with personal narratives.
