Chuck White was born in Flagstaff, Arizona, in 1932 and grew up the only child of ranching parents. This memoir is his way of recording the heritage and legacy of the ranch life he lived and loved as a boy and later shared in Montana with his wife, Marian, and their children. Chuck now lives on a small acreage near Kalispell, Montana, on the Stillwater River with views of Glacier Park and Big Mountain. He spends winters in his native Arizona. He is the most favored guest in the homes of his four children. Since Marian’s death in 2011, he spends time with family, is active in his church, enjoys golf, football, and horses, and loves to visit old buddies from ranching days in Musselshell and Miles City. He enjoys writing and, at the urging of his children and grandchildren, completed Memories of the Bar-U-Bar in 2014 at the age of 82.
