À propos du livre
Simply put, “argyle” is an experimental mixture of composition and text. The book itself is structured to resemble a standard novel. It’s only when you open it do you realize that it is littered with imagery that both metaphorically and literally represents the narrative. The narrative follows two people who rekindled their old friendship in an attempt to restore an aspect found in their lives previously that made them happy. Tucker exhausted himself working hard at his place of employment, he struggled to maintain a social life. Felix would do anything to get out of work, eventually deciding to quit his job and go hunting for adventure. Without a “cool” method of transportation, he found an old shopping cart, threw an engine and an old electric scooter into it, and used it to get around. But he didn’t want to get rich and famous alone. So he decided to build a passenger platform on his creation, and went to get Tucker, who reluctantly agreed to play along for the weekend. Together, they set out in search of adventure, fame, and riches. They found what they were looking for, but it wasn't what they were expecting. "argyle" is written, illustrated, and owned by Alex Shear.
