À propos du livre
Sirsee means "gift" in a lost parlance of the American South. Around the world, agricultural communities approach the harvest season with uncertainty and hope, never knowing what their efforts will yield. The fruit of such labor is a sirsee indeed. Beyond the fields, in the wider world, lies the promise of ripeness in other forms. What makes for true ripeness? And how do we seize that moment of sweet perfection before it passes? In this colorful journal, we've gathered answers from a range of perspectives. A portion of proceeds from this project go to select nonprofits, including those advocating for freedom of expression and ag workers' rights.

s i r s e e | the gift
Sonoma, California
Sirsee means "gift" in a lost Southern parlance. While the origin of the word is uncertain, the value of a good sirsee is clear. In wine and in words, s i r s e e offers unforeseen delights. The inaugural issue of our harvest journal is now available. It features the work of 33 artists and writers from around the world. A portion of proceeds from this evolving project benefits organizations supporting free speech (PEN America) and ag worker rights (Farmworker Justice). We have also raised nearly $4K to fight help hate crimes in America (Southern Poverty Law Center). You have a gift. Share it.
